The Newcastle Gaol Museum is a heritage listed building in the Clinton Street Heritage Precinct which also includes the stone police stables and Wicklow Shearing Shed. The roof on the gaol buildings is constructed of Sheaok shingles. These shingles are due for replacement and the Shire of Toodyay has received grant funding from Lotterywest to assist with the roof replacement.
