After almost 8 years, we have said a quiet farewell to Chief Executive Officer Stan Scott who’s offi-cial last day with the Shire was 12 May 2020.
Stan, along with his wife Laurel, moved to Toodyay at the start of his time with the Shire, purchasing a property in West Toodyay on the banks of the Avon River.
Stan instigated a number of projects during his time with the Shire and supported the development of the town into the uncertain realm of tourism. The most significant project during Stan’s tenure being the Toodyay Recreational Precinct incorporating a long awaited aquatic centre, to be celebrated and opened later this year.
To list the achievements over the past 8 years would be exhaustive, many of which were positive for the community, and we would like to give Stan our heartfelt thanks for all his efforts during his time with the Shire
We now say goodbye to Stan and Laurel and wish them both the very best for their continuing journey.
We also say farewell to Audrey Bell who held the position of Manager, Community Development for the several years she worked with the Shire. The connections Audrey built with the community are undeniable and she will be missed. We all wish Audrey the very best as she moves onto the next chapter of her life, wherever that may lead!
