To make waste collection services more convenient for businesses, the Shire of Toodyay in conjunction with Avon Waste, will change the collection day around the Toodyay main street and CBD from a Monday to a Wednesday morning. The reason for this change is so bins are not left on the kerb over the weekend, significantly increasing the aesthetics of the main street for locals and visitors.
New bins will be provided free of charge to residents and businesses affected by the change. This change will take place on Monday 3 June 2024 in the morning. The existing bins will be emptied and replaced with a new bin with a red lid so it is clear which bins will then be collected on Wednesday. In order to receive the new bin, please ensure your bin is ready for collection before 6am. Additional information will be provided to each affected property on Monday 27 May 2024.
