PROPOSED EXTRACTIVE INDUSTRY RENEWAL – CLAY QUARRY
LOT 11 CHITTY ROAD, HODDYS WELL

The Shire of Toodyay has received an application from Land Insights on behalf of Midland Brick for the renewal of an extractive industry at Lot 11 Chitty Road in Hoddys Well. The applicant is seeking approval to excavate clay material from the site. It is expected that 200,000 tonnes/year over a twenty-year period.

The proposed extractive industry operation on Lot 11 Chitty Road seeks to meet continuing market demand for clay material for building and construction purposes. The pit operation is proposed to occur within the property totalling approximately 49ha.

The extractive industry will operate in the following manner:

  • The proposed hours of operation for this site: Monday to Saturday 7:00am – 6:00pm (excluding Public Holidays).

Your views on the proposed extractive industry are encouraged and welcomed. The proposal is available for inspection at the Shire of Toodyay Administration Centre, Old Court House, 15 Fiennes Street, Toodyay, during office hours. The proposal is also available for viewing.
